Guthrie’s Ghost is a folk collective formed in Beacon, NY, on Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday, uniting three musical entities to honor the legacy of folk legends like Pete Seeger and Guthrie himself. The group includes Hope Machine (Fred Gillen Jr. and Steve Kirkman), endorsed by the Guthrie Foundation, the father-son duo Jacob and David Bernz (David, a Grammy-winning producer for Pete Seeger), and acclaimed Hudson Valley singer-songwriter Julie Corbalis. Each year, Guthrie’s Ghost comes together for a special tour, offering both modern renditions of classic folk songs and original compositions inspired by folk traditions.
